LineBuster is a simple yet extremely valuable tool. This tool will help you keep your drive thru moving even during the busiest times. Keep your customers happy while they wait in line and decrease your drive thru times significantly.

SET UP

To change an iPad to a LineBuster iPad go to app "Settings" and make your settings set to Linebuster and change the settings shown in the images below.

HOLD BUTTON

The biggest difference between the normal POS flow and using LineBuster is the hold button. This button is what puts the order into stages. This hold button is used if you want to take the order, then press HOLD. Then the person at the window will pick the ticket up, and pay for it. If you have a card swiper with you while taking orders you can ignore this unless the customer is paying with cash, in that case they will need to pay at the window.

Shown below is what it will look like if you do not have a card swiper with you when taking orders/customer uses cash.

TIPPING

If you are wanting to remove the screen asking for tips so you don't have to tap past it each time, go to app "Settings" → "Rules" → scroll down to "Tipping" → toggle off "show tip screen".

CARD SWIPER

The second piece that you need to ensure is taken care of is your card swiper.

Make sure your card swiper is working by doing the following:

  1. Please check that the "Microphone" permissions are enabled for the Crisp app. This can be done by entering the "Settings" app, then tapping "Crisp Fast Casual" on the left menu (it will be located near the bottom of the list after scrolling).
  2. If microphone permissions are enabled. Try removing the card reader from the iPad, then putting it back in.
  3. Be sure the volume is turned up to the maximum.

NOTE: Because the card swiper is attached with an audio jack, it can get bent and stop working. Be careful with them!

Make sure to swipe with the payment device FLUSH with the case - if the payment device is not pushed in all the way you are more likely to bend the audio jack.

If your payment swiper isn't working please do the following:

  1. Unplug it
  2. Restart the app
  3. Reconnect payment device
  4. Try again

If it is consistently not working, try it on a different iPad. If it's a newer iPad you should have better results.
