We've built a suite of tools to help you calculate and transfer your corporate fees as well as manage a corporate gift card program. There are a few key concepts to keep in mind for all of these.

1. Stores are automatically provisioned for this service when they set up their merchant processing accounts. The account used for credit card deposits will also be used for these transfers or deposits.

2. We will automatically create invoices for all of the transfers you make. These are always available to store owners through the Crisp Portal and we will also email invoices at the time of transfer.

3. You can set up between 1-3 bank accounts for these transfers. There are benefits to separating your royalty, brand development, and gift card pooling accounts as this makes reconciliation and auditing much easier.

Royalty and Brand Development Fees

Royalty & Brand Dev settings

You can set default settings as well as store specific settings for Royalty and Brand development fees. Default settings will automatically be applied to any new store that is added to your Crisp account. Store level settings will apply to specific stores and will not be overriden.

For any given configuration you can control

Gross vs Net sales
Choose whether stores should be charged on their gross or net sales.
Gross Sales =  Sales before discounts and refunds
Net Sales = Sales after discounts and refunds

Note that taxes, tips, and gift card sales are not included in either gross or net sales totals.

Fee Percentage
Set the percentage of adjusted sales that will be charged as a fee.

Fee per transaction
You can charge a fixed amount per sales transaction.

Fee per report
Charge a flat fee per report run.

Exclude loyalty sales
Toggling this setting on will subtract loyalty credit payments that were applied toward sales totals from the stores adjusted sales.

Include third-party
Toggling this setting on will include third party sales in the stores adjusted sales numbers. Be aware that stores need to have third-parties integrated with their POS or manually enter transactions for the sales to be recorded.

Gift Card Pooling

This is a simplified visual of how corporate gift card pooling works:

Skipping stores
If we detect that the corporate gift card pooling bank account matches the deposit account for any given store. We'll automatically skip the transfer and mark the record as "no transfer necessary".

You can also select stores to always skip when generating gift card reports. These stores will not be included in calculations and will not have money transferred to or from the corporate account.

Digital wallets are a feature of your mobile app that allow customers to buy digital gift cards as well as reload a balance on their app. These "gift card" purchases are not assigned to a store and are deposited directly into the corporate gift card account.

Manual Transfers

Manual transfers allow you to use this system as an ACH platform. You can both charge and pay stores using these tools. If you have multiple bank accounts setup for your transfers - manual transfers will always use your royalty account.
