There are three options for rewards in your Crisp loyalty program.

The table below provides a summary of these programs, as well as some benefits and potential down-sides to help you evaluate which program will work best for your business.

Example: Get 5% back on every order.
Lowest barrier to entry option. Immediately rewards guest for signing up for your loyalty program.Incurs loyalty liability immediately, the liabilities tend to grow over time.

Does not provide data-rich profiles (customers may only provide a phone number)

Loyalty as a tender type may be used to pay tax and tip, meaning you will pay out actual money for payments made this way.

FAQ's

If I switch to the Point-to-Product program, what happens to my customer's existing loyalty credit?

Although points never convert to loyalty credit with the point-to-product program, customers will retain their existing loyalty credit and be able to spend it. You can also still give customers loyalty credit from your Point of Sale of Crisp Dashboard (a permission based ability).

Customer's who have loyalty credit available will still see the option at checkout in your online ordering and mobile app checkout.

Why is loyalty credit treated as a tender type, rather than a discount?

Laws vary significantly between states as to how loyalty is treated from a taxable sales perspective. Loyalty credit in the Crisp system uses the most conservative approach to reward program laws. If you would like to treat loyalty sales as non-taxable sales you can review this article for some guidance.

Do customers earn credit on tips, gift cards, and other similar items?

No, customers will only receive points or credit back based on the Net Sales amount of their order. Net sales does not include gift cards sold, tips, taxes, delivery fees, or any other charges that are not product sales.
