To create a category:

  1. Press the big + button in the upper left corner of the "Categories" section.
  2. Include the category name, and choose its other characteristics.
  3. Click "Save".

Sub-Categories

Occasionally, you might have different methods of ordering, and you might want to exclude parts of your menu from one method.


For example: You want to include your entire menu in-store for a walk-in customer, but want to exclude frozen/cold products from the pick-up menu on your mobile-app so you don't have to worry about the product melting while you wait for the customer to pick up the order.


In such cases, you can create Categories and Sub-categories for use in different locations. Creating a sub-category is similar to creating a category, with a few extra steps.


To create a sub-category:

  1. Press the big + button in the upper left corner of the "Categories" section.
  2. Include the sub-category name, and choose its other characteristics.
  3. Click "Save".
  4. On the "Categories" page, find the category that will house the sub-category you have created, and click its #.
  5. Now on that category's edit page, find the sub-category you would like to add in the "Sub-categories" box, and click to highlight it.
  6. Click "add >>" to add the highlighted sub-category to the list of sub-categories associated with the selected Category.
  7. Click "Save".
